...For Now...
I won't be posting for a while now, probably not until the back end of next year.
I have some stuff to sort out, or at least try to and it will most likely take up the majority of my time.
So for now, Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year from S-LOTM!

...Getting to be that time of year again where everyone frantically rushes round for the presents and wrapping paper in time for Christmas.
A time when no one can get on a train or a bus or even drive because its so crowded everywhere.
So why not stop, take a minute, and look round at the wonder in the world at this time of year...

This is where i get some of my photographs of Hungary.
Its a good website with a talented photographer named Peter Visontay.
He can really capture the essence of a place. Check him out!

...Wherever I Go, You Are Always On My Mind...
Wherever I go,
you are always on my mind,
What I have,
What I have lost,
I miss you,
I miss what should have, might have been.
I even miss what I have.
you are always on my mind,
What I have,
What I have lost,
I miss you,
I miss what should have, might have been.
I even miss what I have.
...Can You Look Away?...
"For Eastern Europe is, despite all its misery and hopelessness, a radient, inspiring, enspiriting landscape, together with Chernobil if you like – one whose magic is impossible to escape. Repellent as it is in its violent, raw and also absurd internal relations and its immorality, these very same qualities captivate us and make it impossible to leave. This is an ambivalent state, and resolution seems forthcoming only through fantasy, a world of hovering visions."
Ádám Bodor
...Eldon...
I have a copy of this photograph on my wall. i like what it represents, the idea.
The way Dan Eldon was able to incorporate himself into his surroundings and capture moments that would otherwise never be seen, capture hope as well as the darker sides of existence.
This for me symbolises a new beginning of sorts; the chance to learn from each other, to discover what each of us is like, learn from all walks of life.
The solider with his out stretched arms allowing the child in, to learn, to not be afraid. The child reaching out wit almost his whole body with that innocence we all have at that age which is expressed on his face.
When i look at this i think how far we have come and evolved as a society, but i also think how far we have yet to go and how much we have yet to learn and understand. But with hope, determination and respect for one another we take small steps each day toward a better future...
