...Art...

Someone once said,
"i love art that asks the question,
'What does this mean?'
But it never really had an answer to begin with"

and i agree, it never had an answer...it just is..simply what you see and what you make it..it exsists..

...The Island...

Ive been meaning to post about this book for a long time,
ever since i've read it, it has remained one of my favourite reads.
It's very emotive, family tragedy, love, marriage, secrecy, journeys, it has it all.

Below is a bit about the book:

On the brink of a life-changing decision, Alexis Fielding longs to find out about her mother's past. But Sofia has never spoken of it. All she admits to is growing up in a small Cretan village before moving to London. When Alexis decides to visit Crete, however, Sofia gives her daughter a letter to take to an old friend, and promises that through her she will learn more. Arriving in Plaka, Alexis is astonished to see that it lies a stone's throw from the tiny, deserted island of Spinalonga - Greece's former leper colony. Then she finds Fortini, and at last hears the story that Sofia has buried all her life: the tale of her great-grandmother Eleni and her daughters and a family rent by tragedy, war and passion. She discovers how intimately she is connected with the island, and how secrecy holds them all in its powerful grip...

...Looking into the Future...

So begining of January, just about the second week in and i have a long list of resolutions...endless infact...but ive just been thinking, what is the point in having a list of resolutions when you can just sum it all up and make one very important one?...Be the best person you can every second you can.

I think as it is just gone new year we can all make that fresh start we keep meaning to. Now is as good of time as ever. Plan the things you want to do now...plan for your future. Its just around the corner!

What we should try to remember in a society that is as technologicaly advanced as ours is to...sometimes just keep it plain and simple...back to basics if you will. People living harmoniously with one another...it wouldn't be bad...not at all. A kind gesture, a friendly hello, the consideration of thinking about those less forutnate. I'm lucky enough to not have to worry about my tomorrow, but what about the thousands of people who have to, thousands of people who have to worry about their present and if in the next second its gonna be their last.

Time is ours...right now...and we can save the present and change the future and 2007 is the time to do it.

For yourself, For your loved ones, For your friends and for the world. Everyone has good inside them and hopes and dreams..its now they come alive.

My interest is in the future,
Beacuse i'm going to spend
the rest of my life there.
